August 4, 2010
Why do some men and women lose their hair as early as their teens and others retain a thick, full head of hair into their 7
0′s and 80′s? Are you one of the countless thousands living with “Mother Nature’s cruelest joke”? You are not alone in the battle against hair loss.
There are many myths and fables about why men and women lose their hair. You can not lose your hair by wearing a hat too much unless you’re wearing it so tight it’s cutting off circulation to the hair follicles. Some people lose their hair as a result of stress or an injury. Some because of medication or diet, while many attribute hair loss solely to heredity. The gene that controls hair growth has only recently been identified. Unfortunately, science still has not been able to discover the exact cause of hair loss.
The good news is in recent years there have been advancements in the hair loss industry that have proven useful. Things such as topical treatments and laser therapy have been proven by the FDA to promote the growth of hair. There are many different options when it comes to dealing with hair loss. The best thing to do is contact a specialist to go over your options with you. For more information visit http://www.keithshaircenter.com
